Release Day: The Aristocrats Anthology
It’s finally out!
The Aristocrats Anthology features myself and many other authors writing the Aristocrats joke in the style of classic authors. It has myself as James Ellroy, Regina Watts as Vladimir Nabokov, Dav Crabes as William S. Burroughs, Gary Shipley as Jean Baudrillard and more!
Thank you to Potter’s Grove Press and editor Tom Bradley for having me as a part of this!

Rob Ramirez Gets Uncomfortable
Over at Uncomfortably Dark, Christina Pfeiffer called Rob Ramirez’s second story, Jesus in the Mire, “a dark, ominous, and hopeless story that is written beautifully.”
Thank you, Christina!
Get “Jesus in Mire” exclusively from Godless.com.
Speaking of which, Christina recently published her own debut story, “Cooter,” and I’m very much looking forward to reading it.
For Your Consideration: The 666 Awards
Speaking of Godless, the 2023 666 Awards are now open for voting.
My first collection of plays, PLAYS/hauntologies, is up for best collection. My short story, “Baby, You’ll Be Famous,” is up for best short story.
If you’ve read and enjoyed either or both, please consider voting for them.
Coming Soon to this Substack: The Blue Prison
While I probably shouldn’t have started another novel with all the other projects I’m working on, I did.
To make things even more complicated, I plan on serializing it to this Substack, despite the fact it’s a bit chaotic and not especially plot driven.
The novel is called The Blue Prison. It’s written in the form of a diary from the writer Karl Schuil, one of the most well-regarded authors from the eastern European country of Djalista. After his political essays get him thrown in prison, he’s left with nothing but time to contemplate his past work, his future, literature, his PTSD from his time in the First European War, and the building tension between the inmates and the administration when a young guard turns up dead.
Despite the alternate history aspects, it’s probably my least “genre” work so far. It’s either going to be the best thing I’ve done so far, or a pretentious piece of crap. I’ll leave that to the readers to decide.
Also, rather than putting it behind a paywall, I think I’ll release this one for free on here with the option to tip via Paypal on each chapter. After it’s completed, I’ll have a more polished eBook and paperback version for sale as well.
I’m not sure when the first installment will be up, but subscribers will be the first to know.
Once again, thank you all for your support.
